The Angel Band Project began as a benefit album paying after the tragic rape and murder of our lifelong friend, Teresa Butz. At her funeral, there was more singing that speaking. Her family and fiancee sang with such emotion, we were inspired to record them in an effort to help others suffering in the wake of sexual violence.

Three generations of Teresa’s family lend their talents to this soulful tribute. Including her brother, Norbert Leo Butz, two-time Tony award winner and Teresa’s partner, a conservatory-trained vocalist, who was also raped and nearly killed in the same fateful attack.
